Operating principle of the OL.D

The material to be pressed is loaded into the mini silo and drops through a hopper to the feeding screw. An agitator prevents the material from getting stuck in the hopper. It is fed into the press by a cone-shaped auger, which introduces the material directly into the mechanical compacting chamber. A piston then pushes the material through the extruder that is held tight by the piston clamp. Thanks to the friction generated by the pressure of the piston clamp, the material undergoes final compression, producing the briquette.

Construction features of the OL.D 301

1 structural frame in square-section tubular Fe 360 steel, supporting the oil tank, mechanics and motor unit;
1 hopper fitted with feeding screw placed at a 90° angle to the loading axis;
1 mechanical unit consisting of a hydraulic piston, compression head, extruder and relative clamping assembly;
1 hydraulic unit consisting of a constant power piston pump driven by an electric motor, and a series of solenoid valves, gear pumps, plates and hydraulic pipes;
1 mini silo fitted with a control level probe, flywheel with spokes;
1 cooling system (closed circuit) for the oil in the control unit, consisting of an air-oil heat exchanger;
1 electric control panel housed in a cabinet compliant with standards: the internal components control the machine sequences and functions by means of an electronic system which analyzes the individual functions. Three-phase line power supply 380V-50Hz.
